About
Built by engineers for the question every examiner asks.
What is on your network, and who approved it? We make the GigID Labs Appliance: an on-prem network-assurance appliance for community banks, credit unions, the MSPs that serve them, and small and mid-size businesses.
Why we built this
Engineered by professionals, for the professionals who have to prove it.
Two engineers, each with more than 20 years in the field.
Over those years we kept seeing the same gap. Every organization was asked the same simple questions. What is plugged into your network? Who approved it? How do you know? Almost nobody could answer with confidence.
The big tools were too complex, too costly or too risky to run. NAC projects stalled or caused outages. Scanners missed the devices that matter most. Monitoring tools buried real problems under alerts nobody trusted. So the answer ended up in a spreadsheet and a folder of screenshots, rebuilt by hand before every exam.
We are engineers first, not business people. We did not start with a market. We started with a problem we kept running into, and built the tool we wanted on our own networks: simple, light and read-only. It is honest about what it cannot see, and it produces proof that stands up without anyone’s word for it, including ours.
It is a small product on purpose. It does one job and sits next to the network access control, asset discovery, RMM, SIEM and compliance tools you already run. It replaces none of them.
How we work
- We say what it does not do. The security page lists what is not built and what we have not done yet.
- We do not ask for your trust. The evidence can be checked without our software.
- We stay off your network. The appliance never contacts us.
- We answer in writing. Vendor reviews get written answers that point to the code or document behind them.
- Early access: now taking pilot customers. It runs today on Windows, Linux and macOS, on hardware you already have, and we show it live in a demo. Builds go to pilot customers during early access.
How we build it
The rules the product holds itself to.
Never writes to your network.
SNMP GET, GETNEXT and GETBULK only. It never changes a switch. When a port should be shut, the alert prints the command for a person to run.
Never talks to GigID Labs.
No telemetry, no license check, no update check, no vendor endpoint. Destinations under gigidlabs.com are refused.
Never sends your data to an AI service.
Device data leaves only for destinations an Admin configures: your SIEM, chat, ticketing or mail relay.
Never approves a device on its own.
Every device on a monitored jack waits for a person’s decision, including the box someone plugs in to run their own AI. Imported lists and rules never approve anything.
See it on your own network.
A live demo with the engineers who built it. We bring a simulated network; you bring your questions.
